Ok,

I am ordering cams/gears on monday in preperation for my Turbo Trix tune in Pensacola near the end of this month.

I plan of doing all of the bolt on mods, but keeping the stock turbo at this juncture.

I have narrowed it down to two combos. I would really appreciate your opinions and advice on them. I want to make the most power possible, but streetable power. I have done alot of research, and these are the combos:

Either

HKS 264in/272ex

or

Tomei PonCam's

Which will make better power. I am thinking that maybe the Tomei's are too close to stock. They do have slightly more lift than the HKS, but not as much duration.

And another question:

Do I absolutely need cam gears in order to get the car to run at it's optimal settings?

Not at all as long as you have a good tune. A TT tune is perfect for this.

Tomei PonCam's would be better.they just cost a little more.you don't need new cam gears,but i would buy them,and find someone who knows how to adjust them
