am i detonating?

i took out my car today, same settings as ussual. i recirculated the bov yesterday. but today in 3rd gear it started hesitating/ missing. i lost power so i let off imediatly. almost felt like the missing for the po300 code, but i was wot. the afr read 11.0 at leanest. i pulled a plug and it looked whitish/grey. shouldnt it be blacker with more soot at 11.0 afr? i am running a wideband. my fuel system is built with 880s, i was running 12.8 psi when the stubble occured. any thoughts on what i should do, check, or change?

i had hgk a step colder, then switched to the stock heat range. both show up a whiteish on the electrode, and dark black on base, no melting or build-up. wait, is the electrode the little node surrounded by the porclin (sp?)? is the very top part the ground? im confused on the terminology. its the top part that is whitish.
