Hks Rs?

Hey, is anyone here got the HKS RS intake on their Evo? I'm thinking about getting one, but.....

- I heard that on the Evo, if you just simply change the intake it would reduce boost and hp (the MAS detect that more air going into the engine so it cut down the boost level.
- Some said that the intake with open element would breath in hot air from the engine compartment into the. The stock intake has the intake duct that would breath in cold air from the outside.
- I don't know if water could get inside the engine, since it's an opened element intake system.

If there anyone here who has an experience with this intake please help, I would really appreciate it...

its good.water doesn't get to it unless you have the hood vent off.best thing to do if you get it is getting the car reflashed.intake along won't make much power, but with a flash, claims have been 10-12 whp.

i have it on mine... it's tru it gets hot. i don't care... i'm not gonna run an intake box for forever. you can get the hks induction box (kansai) it runs about 300 bucks but it's tru cf. otherwise... what i'm going to do is wait to go stand alone and then make custom 4" tubing from the turbo to the fender, while running an hks filter.

you should actually be more concerned with the stalling issues. but i have one in my car... i have eids but i haven't installed it. cuz... i haven't stalled yet. i also have circle earth grounding kit... so... whatever is keeping me from stalling is great. my evo is also an 04.
