threw crank, and cam poss sensor codes: off timing? please read
ok, i made a new thread cause the old one was dead. i threw 2 codes, po335 and po340. crank, and cam angle sensor codes. i just put the motor at top dead center (the cam gears lined up to marks) i looked down at crank pulley and found the mark up, so i know the motor is tdc.
THE QUESTION IS: the mark on the crank pulley was lined up between the 2nd and 3rd to the right (front of engine) marks on the block (i had a hell of a time seeing this, but managed). further description: the mark on the crank pulley lined up 3 marks to the front of the motor from the end of the marker on the motor(3 marks to the front from some writing on the engine marker that i couldnt read).
scetch description of crank pulley marker:
?writing?
I_________I________I_________I_______^___I________ _I (front of motor-->
each marker is the line i could make out from the marker on the motor from front<--to back--> the arrow (^) is where the crank pulley lined up when cam pullies were at tdc markers.
---- where should the crank pulley line up on the motor marker to be at TDC when the cam gears are at their TDC markers?

well, looking on evo motos web site, wat i depected above seems to be correct.
. so that means the car hasnt jumped timing. im still stumbling during wot after 5500 rpms. and i still have those 2 codes. i dunno where to go now. any ideas?

I got those exact codes once when I stalled my car after having a new clutch put in. When it stalled, I got a SEL light. I pulled the codes and cleared them. They haven't come back in 5000 miles. Do you think your codes could be false?
