Best BOV for stock setup

Hey everyone-

My brother has a sweet but stock EVO. I wanted to buy him a really cool birthday present and wanted to know what the best BOV that everyone has experienced.

I would prefer all suggestions would be a 50%/50% setup just for peace of mind, but I am a newb when it comes to the EVO, I have worked on a lot of them and just not payed attention to the parts. So if you guys could help me out with suggestions that would be great.

Thanks
WRX Rush

thats a nice thing to do what type of sound is he looking for something more stock sounding or something louder or what? if you want to get something better then the stock plastick one you can get the new metal MR from mitsu ,
if you want one that has a whistle or a churp you can look into greddy type s ( thoes are the two iv installed and have experiance with )
the MR is a direct replacement of the stock for the greddy you have adjustments with springs and tension you can play with till ur happy with it..
sound of the greddy can get annoying. lots of other choices but thoes are the two iv played with.

MR bov is around 120

the greddy is about 250 with the flange thats needed ( if i rember correctly )

Yes. On the MR, just be careful, you'll notice the engine dipping under 900 rpms sometimes(ie., doing a k turn, stop and go once and awhile). May need a tune for that.

Depends on how loud you want it, most of us on here prefer recirc. I recommend the greddy type-s. You can find it at evo8.com for 225 with the flange.

I just installed the forge recirc...works great. The cars idle fluctuated alot with the cams I just installed now with the forge its rock steady. It is also cheaper than the greddy at about 170. Highly recommended.
