do I need a new BOV?

I have a greddy type-S BOV. From the time I got the car the BOV never sounded like a greddy type-S. I bought the car with the BOV already installed. Usually the greddy type S makes a high pitched squeak. I tried adjusting the spring on top all the way soft and all the way hard. It still makes the same sound. It has the swoosh sound like four times. Swoosh, swoosh swoosh swoosh. Not the high pitched laser sound like I have heard on other cars. Any ideas?

Is your bov vented to atmosphere or recirculated?

My BOV is recirculated, I also have an HKS intake and AVC-R boost controller if it makes a difference.

....and you adjusted the spring....hmmm is the bov installed correctly?(is it upside down). Doulble check to see if the inlet and outlet are properly situated.

It looks like it WAS installed incorrectly. The nipple is pointing to the top on mine, where as yours, the nipple is pointing to the side. Will that do damage to anything or will everything be fine once I connect it correctly?

Thanks,
Randy
