02 widw band question.

Can the stock 02 sensor be switched out with an 02 Wideband sensor, and still plug right in the same way the stock one connects (under the spark plug cover). Any recomendations, or maybe keep it there, and put a new one on my HKS downpipe. Talalhz@yahoo.com

You don't want to remove the first o2 sensor. Remove the one after the cat, and put a o2 simulator on those wires. Then put the wideband in that hole (assuming you have a cat-delete pipe), and run the wires to the gauge. Don't remove the first o2 sensor.

You can but your wideband controller has to have an output for non-wideband data. The unit im getting (PLX M-500) has this output so it can both route to your ECU and your AF reader/logger. Just make sure you hook it up correctly to the ECU or you'll be in trouble hehehe.

Oh and hooking it up way back where the 2nd O2 sensor is would give you crappy *** readings. Your next best bet is to weld a bung on the top part of the downpipe closest to the turbo and install it there.
