Those considering an HKS Carbon Ti....

....Get it!

I installed mine yesterday. The install was simple and straightforward. It took about 45 minutes. It fits great and looks great. My only gripe was that it only came with 1 new gasket. I had some extra ones in my garage, so that didn't matter too much though. Make sure you use WD40 to loosen the nuts on the Cat. You may need a breaker bar too. Overall install was very easy, even if you don't have much mechanical know-how, it shouldn't take you much longer than 1 hour.

It sounds wonderful. I still have a Helix DP and Helix Test Pipe to install, so I know the sound is going to change soon, but right now, it sounds nice and surprisingly subtle. The cat-back alone isn't much louder than stock. At idle, it's a mellow grumble, and once opened up, it sounds mean.

You'd be surprised.. The sound won't change too much. I had just the cat-back, then got a DP and test pipe at the same time, and the sound was just a tad louder at idle and a bit more robust on the top end. Overall it's quality peice and the sound is exceptional though. It doesn't drone on the highway and it's quiet enough not to offend the neighbors. HKS makes good stuff.

Congrats on the exhaust.. I'm sure it will last you a long time!

You have a very clean car. Exactly how I want mine to look if I ever take the plunge.

Forget I want to offend Nieigbors and be obnoxius.....well sometime I do.....but a sound clip may help decide on the HKS or the Esplier...

I'll put some sound clips together sometime in the next couple days.....Since I'm installing the Helix DP & Test pipe this weekend, I'll definitely get clips showing the differences between the HKS catback alone and the full turbo-back setup. If someone can host them for me, I'll be more than happy to let you guys hear this bad boy.......

Yeah, pretty much sums up what I think about mine also! Also, nice write up on the install and everything man, I can't see the pics, but I know that it looks awesome. You pay a little more for HKS products, but from my experience, their products are always top quality, always fit, never gives any trouble, and holds up indefinitely.

***EDIT*** I just clicked the link in your sig and saw the pics of your car, and that is one good looking black Evo! Very clean and simple, but I love it. Every mod is very tasteful and all your installations look nice as well.

Nice write-up. One of the exhausts that I'm seriously considering. Dying to hear a good sound clip. Just need some cash to jump into my bank account now.
