Rear O2 sensor failure

I tried a search and did not find anything. After numerous attempts to get rid of the SES light from running a test pipe. I can only conclude that the sensor is bad. My question is where can I get a replacement sensor for a fraction of the cost that the dealers want to charge?. will any other sensors work ? or does it have to be OEM? . I mean can I go to Pep Boys and buy one from say an Eclipse. I noticed when I was underneath looking at it if you remove the rubber grommet and pull the slack out of the sensor it looks like a plug and play. Meaning a simple replacement job that even I could do . I think pep boys had a bosch for $98.
My primary O2 sensor failed once already which makes me think this is the same, replaced under warranty by the way. I have an apointment on Tues at the dealer to look at it. But this is really my fault for extending the wiring and so I can't really complain if they don't fix it. By the way I have the UR 3" test pipe and the antifouler things installed. Anyone else have a problem with this ? Thanks

How many of the antifouler spacers do you have installed? One didn't work for me, I needed two. The first one drilled out 1/2" and the second as it came, NOT drilled out.

you can get universal bosch sensors from auto parts stores... just as good they just dont have the connector attached have to do it your self... not hard, i would just reccomend soldering the connections also with the kit they give you.

I have 2 foulers installed along with the test pipe. If you buy the universal how do you know which is which.as far as the sensor is concerned. I really would like to get plug and play if possible

Universal O2 sensors are "plug and play" Most 02 sensors are not vehicle specific. There are just a few models that are shared over all platforms--Ford, Chevy, GM, Honda, Mitsu, etc..... 02 sensor--It just gives values back to the computer that uses those values in it's calculations. Any parts store will guide you to the correct replacement.

Moreover, you may want to re-think your theory that the sensor is bad. Test your current sensor by putting the cat back in.

Good Luck!

Good Luck!

So if I got to autozone or where ever I should be able to get a plug and play?. I think I saw somewhere an OEM sensor was like $250. I will put an AEM in B4 I pay even close to that for a sensor
