I have 264's Im gonna put in.I orignally had 272's but I traded my friend because he is getting a turbo upgrade and Im not.I have adjustable cam gears for them but Ive searched and cant find any settings for them.Has anyone done any testing with 264's and cam gears??Ive only been able to find them for the 272's.Are they useless to use with 264's??I would appreciate any info that anybody had on this.

 

The HKS 264 set does not have a great deal of duration and overlap. Therefore, I would use the same settings for both the intake and exhaust cam. As far as what these settings should be, I might use a -3/-3 setting as a compromise between spool time and power and find a way to dyno tune the setup.

 

Yeah,thats the problem.I live in Pensacola,Fl and the closest AWD dyno was at Boost Solutions which is like 5 hours away.And now they are gone so Im screwed.I was hoping someone did some testing with them like with the 272's and had good setttings for them.If not Im just gonna sell the cam gears and leave them.It just pisses me off because these cam gears were alot of money.

 

You don't need them. My car has them, and purrs like a kitten. You know, you were there!

I wouldn't waste your money on the cam gears if you don't really need them. Sell them and buy something that makes power.

 

I've actually seen cam gears make decent power when in conjuction with the xede. (would probably do it with any other piggy back. they where just using the xede). If I'm not mistaken some of the cars that where at dyno4mance for the dyno day in the begining of the month made good power on the 264's with cam gears. I'll talk to some of the guys that where there that have a little bit more solid info.
