Quiet Exhaust poll

From sifting through all the exhaust threads (wow there are a lot), I've narrowed the 3" quiet exhaust down to the following:

1. Fujitsubo - Not 3in all the way through, but very quiet. Not on my list as its not 3" through the ressonators.

2. AMS - one resonator straight through muffler

3. RMR - two resonators straight through muffler

4. Thermal R&D - No resonator straight through muffler

5. B&B - no resonator, muffler is not straight through.

I would like to know from those that have experience with these which is the quietest, and if there are any build quality issues. (B&B has some bad flanges, but it looks to have been fixed).

Want to know which is the least noisy from experience? Here's a good few sound clips of some of the more popular systems, with actual decibel readings:

you forgot AVO. numerous owners attest that they sound stock, but good power increase.

Db

I've looked at the DB readings many times, but I've narrowed it down to these four. I'm sure their are others, but these seem to come up over and over again as being quiet. Since this is a bit subjective, I would like to narrow it to these. Hey, some even say the Bushcur is quiet...

I have the Buschur "SCCA-legal" catback--no resonator--with the Magnaflow muffler option and it's almost as quiet as stock except at higher revs, where it's quite reasonable as well. Haven't had the change to take dB(A) readings on it...

Out of all the exhaust recordings and measurements we did, the HKS proved to be the quietest aftermarket catback.

You should add the Greddy Evo2 to the poll. IMO, it's 95% as quiet as stock. Idle is just a little thoatier.

Thanks for the advise

So I did a hybrid of these. I'm having a custom built from RNR racing using their O2 eliminator downpipe, high flow cat/test pipe, and resonated catback using a Thermal R&D 81630S muffler (this is the same as used in their catback). Benefits should be that it never necks down (3" all the way), eliminates the O2 housing, and has a 22" resonator built in along with the quiet Thermal R&D muffler. I hope this works out, or I'll be back at it.

Is it a high flow cat or a test pipe? A quiet exhaust with a test pipe may fool the police's ears but not their noses.

RMR it is excellent in quality and sound rated to meet strict CA decibel law of only 95db's. Also makes good power as well on a stock Evo it made 17whp with no tuning just by itself.

I am sure the Greddy SP2 is one of the quietest exhausts!
Even more silent than the Evo2.
However, I will know it soon
