Question Need help picking a BOV

Im trying to decipher if the Greddy Type s BOV sounds like this clip

Im trying to find out if that sound will be the same if i put it on the evo 8. Please post what you know thanks guys.

yes, but not as loud in real life. that microphone must have been located right on top of the valve

Greddy Type S is a good BOV, you just have to adjust it correctly.

that sounds awesome

so is there a recirculation kit out for the Type-S...I cant seem to find it
and if I get the recirc kit am I still going to have some of the problems???

i just got mine installed and its recirulating but it doesnt sound like that......its actually fluttering all the time and my car is stalling a bit....i know i have to do a spring mod to fix the stalling but if i do it will it stop this fluttering and create that chirp?

Yes, but not as loud. Some people run it vta having no problems. The sound changes as you adjust the spring.

be aware that VTA causes hp loss because the MAF sensor doesnt sense the air you should have passed through it and the ECU pulls timing trying to fix problem, i know you asked about recirc. but thaught this might help aid your decision,also is this just for audible satisfaction or functionality?

yeah i have the type s and if you adjust it like all the guides say you will have no problems what so ever. with the Hks Racing suction kit my BOV sounds basically like that.

I dont think mine came with a guide of some sort.....so after doing the spring mod, how much softer or harder should the bolt be to make that sound?
