I think for the price the K&N Typhoon Intake Kit looks good and you can also clean the filter yourself. What other filters can you clean as well? I was told ARC make good intakes too but the price is a bit steep.

Just use an aftemarket drop in filter. No need for an intake pipe and cone filter at this point.

i wouldn't change the intake aside from a high flow panel filter unless your running some sort of fuel managment, the trade off isn't worth the sound... If you want the should run your stock box with a panel wilter and just take the lid off the box and use some rubber bands to hold it on.. you'll get the same sound and 50 bux... But the stock airbox design left untouched with the use of a panel filter is highly effective on stock setups or very lightly modded evo's.

If you want a true cold air intake go with the APS cold air intake. A bit pricey but it's very good. You will also need to purchase their own I/C spray bottle as the stock one does not work with the intake and you will possibly need a filter shield to avoid getting water onto the filter. I would go with a high flow drop in though unless you really wanna hear that turbo spool.

I would have to agree with the APS cold air intake box.

Only way you could gain HP from air intake is to increase the air intake. In order for you to do that, you have to increase the air intake box.

APS is designed so that it'll decrease resistance of air into turbo and increase air flow by making the air colder and keeping a lot of air in the box to compress it.

compressed air = colder air, vice versa.

Apex-i Power Intake. I highly reccomend it. its around $150 and its worth it. When you're hitting boost you can hear the thing suck, and that's what give you the assurance that it is working! I've also increased gas mileage by a bit. So kill two birds with one stone with the Apex-i Intake - Gain Gas Efficiency and Better Flow!

I would recommend the hks rs, or the buschur cone filter w/ mass air pipe, both are proven to make power when properly tuned!
