Engine braking and de-accel noise

Does anyone have a constant rough noise when enging braking or any negative load is on the engine? Just wondering if it is normal or not. Just much louder than any other car I have had.

You get used to it. In fact, I kind of like it now. I think of it as the car grumbling under it's breath about being asked to slow down.

I listened to it and it's coming from the side where the timing belt is.

It sounded like one of the pulleys beneath that location close to the alternator.
