I have the Greddy Profec B and am happy with it although I have heard that the Hallman comes on boost much faster.

I have ProfecB and it works fine, but I'd buy a cheaper one if I did it again... If I bought a manual, I'd definitely get the cockpit control thing.

MBC simply because it makes as much power as an EBC, and only costs $60

honestly we recomend manual controllers to everyone. the electronic does have an advantage for FWD cars, but thats a moot point here.

the manuals are much more consistent. We have charged EBC owners for plenty of shop labor diagnosing EBC's that were installed wrong, defective, or not adjusted or setup properly. a good percentage of these customers say screw it, and leave with a manual controller on the car and ditch the EBC on ebay.

simple answer. if you can afford it get a ebc. With all those features you be glad you got one. I have the Blitz SBC ID3 and love it. Wait until my alky kit arrives then I can use all 4 channels to adjust different boost on the fly. Toggling channels you just push the dial(enter) and toggle to desired channel number, very simple.
My friend has the HKS EVC and he says its too complicated. Trust me the Blitz is so dam easy to setup and use my mom could figure it out lol. With all these features how can you resist
At night it looks very nice btw.

ebc's have more of a in-cockpit 'wow' factor with passengers.... other than that, it seems like the only advantage of an ebc is different boost level settings.

I have had the HK$ EVC-PRO and just a regular Greddy profec-B.... the EVC-pro was awsome and the profec-b was inconsistant. The EVC-pro was super expensive and the LED malfunctioned and had to be sent back to Japan to get fixed.

Now that all I care about is performance, MBC will be my next controller.... set it and forget it. I have no need to toggle between different boost levels. The money saved will go towards 60mm guages.

I heard a couple of others complaining about their HKS unit go out on them or malfunction. I believe I came across 3 or 4 guys on these threads mentioning it.

I suppose EBC will allow much easier adjustability, but since it's electronic, it can potentially malfunction in the long run and cost expensive damage.

I think MBC is plenty good for the average Evo driver/tuner.
