a decent amount. Its going to be tuned less aggressive. if you want best bang for your buck, locate one of the tuners by you and go there in person and have them dyno tune your car.

what do you mean by tuned less agressive? you mean that vishnu will not tune it to his best ?

actually i don't know how they tune the ecu w/ xede without my car actually being there at vishnu.....so does that mean that it won't be the most efficient tune w/o the car?

i mean i've read that they have specific tuning maps for specific mods like a catback, so will they just incorporate that in the xede and then send the xede and my ecu back to me and my car will take full advantage of that?

It wont be tuned to optmization. Its like masturbating in the dark. You can do it, because its second nature....but try running in the dark... haha that ruled.

But yea, mailing in your flash, they cant give you the best tuned results, because they are only assuming what your car may do/react to the mods you have on it. What worked for one car, may not work as well for yours. Thus, taking it there and having them tune it...run it...critique it...run it...and perfect it.

12's

It's easy, as long as you have the right path, since the Evo is a great flatform. For starters, you have to look for a good tuner-shop (with in-house AWD dyno) that knows a lot about the Evos/4g63s. Then look for the best foundation of your future mods to achieve your 12 sec..... (this is your EMS). And then the hardwares, i.e. 3" turbo back, intake, bov, mbc, 272 cams, clutch, light wt. wheels (optional), header/O2 housing (optional) and some lightening projects to have an excellent wt.-to-power ratio.

Good luck...

i ran a 12.8 @ 108 w, these mods

Helix T-Back + Cat Delete $765
Hallman MBC $100
Buschur Intake $80
ACT Clutch $380
Custom Dynoflash $400

On a Dyno Jet it put down 304whp and 297tq

stock clutch, the best i would muster was 13.1

put in a ACT clutch and i ran the 12.8

so its important to count in the money for a new clutch to...stock clutch cant handle that power well..

now i just put in 272 cams w. out tuning..and i ran a 12.4 @110...

11s wont be far away...very, very easy car to get power from...

ps...i did all the install on my own w. some help so i save alot because of that..

I forgot to mention... fuel pump upgrade (walbro 255ltr), Also the 1/4 mile time on my sig was managed on an ailing 27k stock clutch (that was slipping during that run). The new clutch set up is a combo... Fidanza alloy flywheel/ACT stage 1 clutch.

Hope this will give me a better time on my next run at Englishtown, got to give this new set up some time to "break in"

I would go with the BR Stage one with the BR Flash! If you do a seach you should find several guys who have gone mid 12's on this combo. BR parts work, no question about it! I don't think there is a better value out there. Other nice thing is if you go to Stage2,3,4 BR will Reflash your ECU for free!

why not try and see if you can run a 12 bone stock, before adding any mods? mags test these cars in the low 13's so with lots of practice i belive a bone stock EVO can run a 12.9 with a good 60' & 330' and driver

Me I spent $1500 to get into the 12s.

Congrats, this only shows that you are an excellent drag racer. 'guess I have to practice my feet/hand/eye coordination...60' was 1.7 (slipping stock clutch)
