Help me decide on exhaust... Buschur or vishnu?

I cant make up my mind... I like the price and the weight of the bushur Turbo back system with test pipe. But The Vishnu looks like a high quality piece and the down pipe with the built in O2 housing is very nice although way more expensive. I would like to focus on power and durability, I dont really care about sound I just want the best performance for my dollar.

anybody have any dyno comparisons? oh ya by the way this will be going on my MR, if anyone knows of any fitment issues please tell me.

Thanks

You like the price of the Bucher...You like the quality of the Vishnu...Why don't you do what I did when I was stuck with the same situation ....I bought an turboback from RMR with a Perrin test pipe. I got it from Turbo Trix at a great price. The exhaust provides excellent power with very high quality not to mention a menacing sound when your gunning it.

If DB level is not a concern, go with the BR. Beware it is real loud w/o a cat.

Look what Buschurs exhaust got me. Only downfall is the system rattles and the muffer end tends to slip out once in a while at WOT.

I had a Buschur TBE on my car previously, and now have the Vishnu standard (TaipanXP) TBE. They couldn't be more different systems.

Could you give us more details on how they are different?

I doubt there is any discernable difference between any of the major turbo-backs out there (as long as they're 3" systems). If you truly want best performance for your dollar, then go with Buschur. Its the lightest, straightest and probably cheapest out there. best bang for your buck. I've heard of some minor fitment issues though. vishnu provides a high quality product, but pricey.

Personallly, I love my Works turboback. Not the cheapest, but very high quality and fitment.

I have the taipnxp (vishnu) VERY good quality, Top notch. Everyone that has seen it under the car is very impressed. The tone is perfect as well not too loud, but loud enough to let the guy beside start to sweat. I have no comparison to BR, but I am very happy with mine.

There were several exhausts I could of bought, but I bought the vishnu because it seems to be the best unit out there. Don't let price effect your decision. you just paid 35,000 or more for your car, you want it to get done right. If you have to pay a couple hundred dollors more to get exactly what you want, so be it.

In defense of Buschur's exhaust, not all are subject to the issues above. There are some out there that fit without issue and have no problems. I think everyone is quick to jump on Buschur for being loud. I run my BR TBE catless with the Magnaflow and it's not that bad at all. It growls at idle and has a commanding tone at WOT I think it fit's those wanting a cost effective exhaust without being too loud.

It's definately QUIET compared to my catless WRX w/ a Skunk2 exhaust.

Ok, I do believe that the Vishnu exhausts with the integral O2 are no longer being used. There are two Vishnu systems, the Std and the Sig. I doubt you will find any significant power potential differences between either of the Vishnu systems or the Buschur system.

The Vishnu systems are more pricey, and vouch are second-to-none quality-wise. I've not seen the Buschur system up close, so I cannot provide a comparison where that is concerned (Noize can comment better).

The Vishnu systems were appealing to me because they provide a definitive performance burble note without sounding intentionally *obtrusive* (especially the Std). From what I can tell, the Buschur system is most definitely louder (at least 8db noisier).

I had noise issues with the BR until I switched to the Magnaflow muffler. Now, it's perfect, nice moderate sound around town and powerful at WOT:

Clarifcation would be appreciated or link to a thread if this has already been discussed.

It amazes me that after I read so many complaints about fitment, rattling, leaking, and DB levels about certain exhausts that people still consider buying them. Ive even saw one person on here say "my xx exhaust didnt fit right, I had to have a local muffler shop modify it, but now its cool." If he paid good money for an exhaust, shouldnt it fit right and shouldnt he not have to spend more money to have it fixed to fit?

I see Evos with many different brands of exhausts on them come into the shop. What really sucks is having to remove some of them and put them back on.
