Flapper in stock exhaust?

Where is the flapper on the stock exhaust and how do you remove it? HAs anyone done this before? Thanks

I know WORKS does a muffler mod where they gut it and provide a new flow path and weld it back up for a stealth stock look. There's a diagram of the stock muffler somewhere.

flap is just as he pipe enters the muffler... you can see it it opens as higher volumes of air enter the muffler to bypass the chambers... just another useless idea from mitsubishi

I think the reason for the flap was for more low end torque. It creates backpressure when out of boost and then opens when more flow is sent through.
