MY EVO is loud.....HELP

YES my EVO is loud in other words vibrates everything around. For example if you are walking next to the car while it’s on idle your ears will hurt not because its loud it just vibrates. I have done everything I can to make it quieter with no luck. Here what I have

Turbo 3071
SS manifold
TBE with hallow cat helix exhaust
koyo radiator

I have checked my exhaust for leaks and I have found none...

The sound is louder after my hallow cat but I don’t want to sacrifice power (I want to keep my hallow cat) and I don’t know what to do. any ideas will be great but I don’t want to loose power.

I know it might be impossible but i had to ask.

Thanks

All your mods are noise adders.

SS header - noise adder
Larger turbo - larger exhaust wheel means the exhaust pulses are less chopped up when exiting the turbo = more noise
hollow cat - noise adder

The only thing I can suggest to quiet things down is to add resonators and change to a quieter muffler. Those two shouldn't rob power too much.

I'll bet the hollowed cat is making the vibration. Try a cat-delete pipe, and also check your DP for any scuff marks, they can hit other parts once they heat up and expand.

You can try the WORKS resonated test pipe.

Strange that it vibrates that much. I have a straight pipe and it sits fine, not to loud and no vibration. You might want to try running a pipe in that hollow cat to cut out the resonation it may be causing.

Yes, it is a cheap so ca house, but then again, most houses in so ca are cheap too! Start construction on monday, finished tuesday!

What type of muffler system / cat back are you running?
