Max boost for MR
So full peak boost only happens in certain gears? or all gears?
if only certain gears...which ones?
I tried flooring it in 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th ....lol I think i tried everygear to see if i get it to go pass 1.0, I might of missed it since I do have to look at the road...but...There was a couple times I did keep my eye on it in like 2nd..4th...and It still stuck at 1.0
I believe it hits 1.0 around 4k rpm usually once pass that it just doesn't go no more...

according to this link...with our 16g6-10.5T turbos the boost is 20.31 at 3500 RPM's at WOT and 17.40 at 6500 RPM's at WOT.

Ok well the boost gauge definitely does not go to 20.3 at 3500 WOT or 17psi at 6500
so I guess I have a boost gauge problem....or something else....sigh....I think a trip to the dealer is going to be necessary.......sighhhh I think its been like this since day one b/c I do remeber doing WOT to about 4500 and it was still at 1.0

and if it was like this from day one...when the dealer did the preperation for pickup wouldn't of they picked up this problem? or do they not check this kinda stuff...wah duh..
can this have anything to do with our plastic BOV?

If you're say in 2nd gear and go WOT around 4K+, does it go to 1.0 and drop down or does it go to 1.0 and stop? You said you were hitting 1.0 before you were ever going WOT but now even at WOT it only goes to the same level... That's strange and sounds much more like a boost leak than a gauge issue.
Mine never really "holds" above 1.3 unless I'm in a high gear/low RPM at WOT, say 5th/6th gear around 3500 RPM, which is accurate w/ the rating. Boost will diminish at higher RPM you can thank the BCS for that.
Just tell the dealer the car boost is rated at one thing and the little gauge w/ the
symbol says another.

yesturday i went for a drive I tested out like 2nd 3rd 4th, at WOT it seemed to stay at .7 it would hit 1.0 for a few but stay at like .7 .8 untill redline.....wth is goin on?
I know a boost leak is boost leakin somewhere, but what exactly causes boost leak ? if someone can explain?

how does the car feel? Does it feel like it pulls properly? I think I say you said that you relocated the gauges; if that is the case, check the hose from the tee fitting to the gauge and verify that there are no kinks.
the thin plastic capillary tubing they use tends to kink easliy, and once it kinks it will greatly reduce the accuracy of the reading.

It goes to and sometime past 1.5 in my MR when I'm above 3000 rpm for like two seconds and that's in any gear then it tapers down to 1.3 on 5th gear and 6th gear, it tapers to 1.3.

MR's dont have a plastic BOV. theirs is metal why most evo8 guys go buy the mr valv.
