Ok heres whats going on...the pill most near the solenoid is still in the line, i can feel it in there, but the other pill which is in the small hose leading to the compressor after it tees off isnt in the line so i cant boost beyond around 10-12psi...

can i just take the pill outta the line nearest the solenoid and put it in the compressor line since im missing that 1 and its more important? if so, where exactly in the line?

yea i know about the issues of taking the pill outta the line near the solenoid, but ill get a MBC later, for now i just need to be boosting correctly...19-22psi is fine

 

ok i just got the pill outta the solenoid area and i read that there is a smaller and larger pill... smaller near the boost solenoid and the larger in the line leading to the compressor. The 1 i have is the smaller. Is there any way i can use this in the compressor line? LIke drill it with a certain size drill bit?

 

Are you using a mbc?

I'm running no pills but tapped into the top of the dv and solid boost.

 

no MBC yet, what would happen if i ran no pills, no mbc?

damn i need to do something....

its either run no pills until i get an MBC (what would i be boosting)
or
find some way to use the smaller restrictor pill that i got out nearest the solenoid and use it in the compressor line.

 

I usually dont say "use the search" but this subject has been beat to death lately. The replacement set of vac lines with the pills are available from the dealer for less than $20. this is the best and safest way to remedy this problem.


edit: better yet, buy my Perrin MBC and you wont need the pills. (shameless plug)

 

i know how much it is to solve the problem but im trying to see if i can save $20 by somehow altering the smaller pill and using it in the compressor line and i am familiar wit the MBC and no pills setup. Thats not the info i needed, but thx
