I already bought the AMS kit... got lucky and somebody backed out so I picked it up. Parts are sitting at the tuner's shop. Now the question is how will it run with just an SAFCII and 660 injectors Of course I'm only shooting for pump fuel numbers so 400-430ish whp will be fine. If it suxors, I guess it's standalone time doh. I can't wait to see the parts. Sexy stuff im sure.

If you got the GT35R kit then you should be able to make 400whp on a s-afc pretty easily.

at WG pressure of 15lbs of boost we hit 400 whp. The biggest problem you are going to have is the size of the injectors. You must be George's customer at Twisted tuning. Great guy and we know you will happy with the kit. Feel free to call me at the shop with any questions.

Yea i'm George's customer. Installing my tripple disk clutch tommorrow. If I need bigger injectors, I'll order them. George seems to think that it should be fine for the low boost I plan on running. I asked him multiple times and he assured me they would be alright for low 400whp range. I really would like to know for sure though because I need to order the bigger injectors now if I need them.

Ams can your GT3071R Kit make over 400 on pump and is this your fastest spooling turbo? Also what mph can this kit achieve on a full weight evo with race gas?

Will be running 10's or 9's and actually running those #'s is a big difference.......but with the turbo's you're using there a decent driver should be able to do it.

I can chime in here since that infamous "10.6s" car was tuned on our dyno where it made 420whp at 30psi on a stock engine (which is exactly what such a set-up should do). With trap speeds of 122mph (which is what that hp results in), it did not a 10s ET, regardless of what the slip might have said. Even the owner suggested to me that there may have been a timing problem with that run. The ET, 1/8th and 1/4 mile times/speeds just don't add up. More like a 11.6@122. I'll be the first to jump up and down to say that the 1st 10s USDM EVO was tuned at our shop but, from the start, I don't believe this to be the case.

Just my 2c,

Sounds accurate. I put down 405whp on the same type of dyno and you can see my times in my signature. I only run 27 psi though.

Doug: You need to get Martin to update his website to show your 10 sec run.

BTW, I'm getting close. Here is an update:

1. Machine work is just being finished for the AMS 2.3. (Apparently there was some small delay over piston rings.)
2. Balance shaft removal kit done
3. 35R kit was ordered two weeks ago with a few custom touches to make it Xede friendlier.
4. OEM gasket kit purchased. New drive belt and alternator belt
5. Exedy triple carbon ready to go with new throw out bearing.
6. Injectors ordered.
7. Quaife already in...

Hey Eric: I'm assuming I'll be breaking this bad boy in with dinosaur oil, right? Does it matter which kind? 500 miles enough before the synthetic?

Holy cow! I can't wait!
What about a 4.11 final drive so you can trap a higher speed in 4th?

That won't be a problem. The 2.3 won't be trapping high like the built 2.0s. Shiv will set the rev limiter at about 8,000. So, if I'm lucky, I'll be bouncing off of it at 127/128 mph in 4th. But I'll be happy with low 11s and 125mph.

Nope, try 123 mph @ 8000 rpm. You will need a higher rev limiter without gears. I go to 8600 rpm. My current trap was at about 8100 rpm.
