RRE has them, as does Buschur. IIRC RRE's parts are more of a DIY project whereas Buschur's are "bolt-on", I *think*.

Then my friend let me bolt his Greddy type S bov on the car, pressurized the sytem again and the gauge read 25psi and no leaks from anywhere.

I will be upgrading the bov asap.

I was curious as to how you pressure test and found the bov to be leaking. Did you cap off the upper pipe? Was the car at TDC? When I did mines without capping off the upper pipe I can hear leak on the throttle body.

I have atleast 1mph gain on 3 consecutive runs that were back to back. All better than my previous best ever runs as well as the runs from the same day with the stock bov.

I do have the AEM EMS boost logs that show a 1psi+ increase. I still haven't had time to get the logs off my laptop and capture a nice screenshot to post up here.

A small bov leak isn't going to make a HUGE differance anyway. 1-1.5mph is like 10-15hp at most. The most power gain that could be expected falls in the grey area of what could be through of as run to run.

The deal sealer for my own mind was the consistent gain in mph. Im very much the pesimist anyway...look at my posts regarding the FMIC I installed a few weeks ago that didn't gain squat. Im not a parts pusher.

You must have a leak around the throttle body then. The only place air should be rushing out of is from valve cover breather. I have pressure tested my car at least 50 times and never heard any leaks besides the one I mentioned above.

We stock them new and used, as well as the flange adapter to make it "bolt on" for the evo. I put mine on in 4 minutes in the staging lanes.

^^ So the New 1G Factory BOV for $86 on your site is a direct bolt on for the stock bov? Does it sound any different at all? Drive exactly like stock? If so then put me down for one

you also need the little "flange adapter" we stock, but I don't think it's on the site yet...Ill get pics and setup the online ordering in the morning...belive the flange is like $23

at about $110 for the bov/flange is kinda expensive and getting into MR bov area. BUT we stock used 1g bovs for like $35

We carry the flanges in mild steel, stainless steel and alluminum! The mild steel flanges are $10 bux and I'd have to check on the price of the others. Heres a page with some flanges listed: http://www.automotosports.com/DIY_flanges.asp

Well do tell me how to test it because I think some other people experience the same thing as I did. I've never touch the throttle body and the bolts are not loose. It sounds like it's leaking from the gasket on the throttle body or somewhere close to there. It may have been the breather also. I got tire of it so I cap the upper pipe since my main concern was the lower pipe, intercooler and bov. THe problem with this is that there is no vacuum on the BOV tube. Did your car had to be in TDC?

Thnks

My car had a boost leak on one of the vacuum lines going to the emmissions equipment under the intake. there are 2 vac lines on top of the TB ( think white and yellow stripped), one that when I took off and plugged the hole with my finger...most of the "leaking" sound was gone.

Are you referring to the two lines that goes to the throttle body and have a making like A or G on it? My understanding is that one of those line must be plug and the engine should be at TDC in order to do a good boost leak test.

Others seem to have done it without any changes/modifications.

DSMMotorsports carries a full line of our parts now so I am not highjacking this from them

We have the 1G BOV's, flanges and an actual adapter kit for the EVO here instock. Something nicer that works really well is the Forged BOV kit, we have those too and they cost the same as the 1g valve and adapter.

You can contact them since this is their thread as they can buy from us.

Sorry Noize, not when a car is very consistent.

I'd definitely notice a 1mph increase on my car with the turbo running *****-out (and it does on every run).

Nate knows his sh*t, and he is datalogging everything.
