We have the 1G BOV's, flanges and an actual adapter kit for the EVO here instock. Something nicer that works really well is the Forged BOV kit, we have those too and they cost the same as the 1g valve and adapter.

I also just had the same problem with a buddies evo, it ended up being a vac line under the intake manifold that had a small tear in it. It took us a good 5 minutes of looking before I reached all the way under there and found it.

Your doing the test right just keep looking.
