Will i regret getting MBC?

ok i have orderd numerous parts and all im looking for right now is a boost controller. Im stuck in the center of either the Hallman Mbc with the incockpit controll or the hks evc ez.

well my problem is i have a boost gauge so i can use the mbc and set it but im in colorado and it does get cold etc.... so im worried if i do go with the mbc and save the few extra bones ill regret it in a month or so due to it not holding the boost correctly..

also i do have the money for the ebc but i would like not to spend it unless its basically the only way boost will be controlled perfect if i do go with the mbc ill get a safcII also i think.. thanks for the help ahead

I'm not really familiar with the Hallman MBC, but a ball & spring type MBC will work really well. Weather won't effect it, it will hold boost more accurately than an EBC. The only drawbacks are presets and changing boost on the fly like you can do with an EBC.

I have heard good stuff about the HKS EVC V but I have no personal experience with it. I can say that the Hallman is a wonderful unit, holds like a rock for me in all gears. Not trying to convince you one way or the other just offering personal experience.

Well I can tell you that if you do get a Hallman mbc and absolute worse case scenario you don't like it, you can turn right around and sell it on these forums without having to take very much of a loss at all, those things go FAST once they hit the private/for sale section. Good luck man and I wish I had more advice for you regarding extreme cold and mbc's but I live in Texas where our winter low is like 40 degrees F for like one week

I have a JoeP MBC (ball/spring type) that only costs $50. Holds boost perfectly, and I never looked back.

The Dejontool MBC is really a quality piece as well. They also make a 2 stage mbc.
