flywheels

when you get a new clutch do you have to purchase a new flywheel??? i am curious? for those of you who put in new clutches what did you do?

not necessary, but it does increase the amount of horsepower transfered to the ground. a lighter flywheel will also give you some different characteristics, ie. quicker slowdown of RPMS when shifting/when in idle.

no - no need, but even if your flywheel is bad you can still keep it. you just need to get it resurfaced

Definitely true, a heck off alot lighter than the one on my Mitsu eclipse GST. Just get it resurfaced.

Depends on the clutch. A lot of aftermarket clutchs for the evo come with new flywheels. Clutches that dont come with 1 im sure the stock 1 should fit. If i was you and getting my clutch replaced id get a new fly wheel as well while the tranny it out.....
