another excedy clutch question

alright my dad just moved to KS and obviously brought the evo with him.....he hasnt driven it much since its been snowin and he doesnt wanna let it get all salted up from the roads....so.. its been sitin for maybe 2 weeks, and i drove it yesterday and theres this (wynding) sound every time i down shift normally, which i could understand that its because the engine and drive train not spinnin at the same speed but i just dont understand the sound cause it never made that noise before........

If I were to guess, it more a tranny noise then a clutch problem. Does it make the noise on cluth in/cluth up...i.e. when you engage or disengage the clutch? Or is it more consistant?

Also, was the tranny warmed up? It really DOES make a difference in the tranny upon startup - mine makes some wierd noises when Im late to work.

I'd see if I could pinpoint it a little closer before assuming anything.
