Down pipe for 2005 cars
Hey all,
I'm new here.
I have done some looking around on this site and even some manufacturers sites but they have not been updated to show much info on 2005 cars yet.
Will any of the larger aftermarket down pipes fit 2005 cars? As most of you know they all have the new active diff. The new diff. takes up some of the room where the down pipe will go, i.e. larger diff. housing.
I'm new here.

I will call works tomorrow or monday to confirm, I looked at their site quickly but did not see any place that confirms a 2005 fitment.
A few others that came up in a search of this site specifically say 03-04 for the down pipe and 03-05 for the cat back.
I'll have to keep lookin' around.
This thread still may help people so they do not order one and find out that it does not fit when they get it.

I'm thinking that the Japanees companies will all have a pipe that will fit because they have had that Diff available on their cars for a few years now. The US manufacturers may have to redesign some of theirs since this is new for this country.

A lot of manufacturers have not updated their sites. I do know that Works has their own shop MR and it does have the 76mm DP on it. I think the MR trans is a bit bigger too, so it should not be an issue with a GSR/RS 5 speed. The works DP is a bit more expensive but it is ceramic coated to retain heat and a high quality piece from what I have heard. Call them or post in their vendor forum. Good luck!
