If we just do that to all the evos out there then we cant be stopped. simple as that!
I think we should start a club and call our selves the Uber Evo's.
Anyone else in?
ok if you're talkin' about a modded evo, why are you even asking the question? hks trb, makes lots of power even on pump and it almost all cf... AND it's awd, it'll take tracks faster... but it's a nutty car... i mean carrera gt is also pretty nutty but... eh... it's just hard makin' lots of power on a lil 2 liter compared to something that has more than two times the cylinders. more cylinders is just always gonna put out more power per octane... too difficult to compare.
also... why do you guys think the carrera gt is some sort of miracle? it's a convertable and it weighs 3000 pounds... what the f makes you think it runs faster than a well built race prep gt2 or 3. you guys give too much props to a ****in' name and a pricetag.

You people whos comparing a modded evo with stock GT, you guys are nuts. Whats the point in comparing it?
Stock for stock? I don't think so. If evo could get some mods, GT should get some mods too!
I bet it could go 300 mph easy. lol
And trinydex needs to understand the fact that the Carrera GT is a completely differently built and engineered car.
it's made to go faster, quicker, handle without compromise. I agree GT2 and 3 are great cars, but built to stock, they're similar.
I've seen GT2 run. They're not that impressive since nobody seems to know how to drive it.

uhm... not that impressive since nobody knows how to drive it? then why make the comparison? what about people that do know how to drive it? i don't understand tha point of the discussion going there...
what more can you do to a cgt? gonna make it lose some weight by adding cf? NO! you can't... it's fairly well maxed out. think you can pull more power outta it? HOW? super charging that ridiculously high compression 10 cylinder revving orchestra? i mean WHAT are you gonna do to that thing and WHAT are you gonna do to get what you do to it on the ground?
if you wanna think similarly "classed" cars... i would be more anticipating the c6 zo6 lingenfelter vette... it has more potential to make power and torque than the cgt and it will be be able to take corners...
and dark's reference to topgear's tests are fine.... but it's a huge hp difference, huge price difference and a huge engineering perspective difference and hence a huge time difference.
people say that adding this to a certain car then you should be able to add this to the compared car... i disagree... why? because cars are designed, adn the overengineering that goes into a car makes it a champion. wanna make a carrera gt outta 32000 bucks? can't? then evo wins... wanna make an evo outta 440k... can it beat a cgt, i think so... and you can make the judgements yourself. wanna make a civic outta 440k? can it beat an evo... is it STILL A CIVIC (buschur's awd civic running a 4g63 is NOT a ****in' civic)? THAT'S what i'm talkin' about, and i think that's waht most people that make these kinds of threads want to compare, they just don't end up articulating it like this when someone says... well... if one car gets 30k in mods the other should too.
and hey... **** it all, up the ante. spend a billion on each car... you can only do SO much to a car to make it good at what you want it to do right? if we're playin' the same game (race track fun) then which one is the ultimate competitor? that's what everyone wants to know anyway right? there are cars that will beat the evo...in fact if price is no limit then the cgt prolly WOULD beat the evo... bigger engine just means a bigger competitor and in many cases of comparison that would just be the ultimate factor. the evo is not overengineered in engine size... it's a peppy 2 liter 4 banger but it'll never beat the shat out of a well designed v8 v10 or a v12

hey yaroslav...lets say...super modded evo can beat carrera gt, what are you going to do next? tell people that evo is faster than carrera gt? or are you going make your evo as "superevo". If you are planning to beat carrera gt "someday", well good luck.

I think Shiv's recent well documented foray into enduro racing puts a lot of this in perspective.
I wonder how many consecutive laps the HKS evo could put down like the time attack record.
The big dogs pull from 100-190 like our evo's pull from 0-100.

it's not about evo elitism, it's the fact... that at least by my definition civics are not overengineered for sports driving as much as evos are. did i not openly admit that just about anything with a larger engine with no cap on cash would prolly beat an evo? stop defending civics. the whole... oh it really is a fast car is getting old.
