I started getting a P0401 EGR flow insufficient code.

The only thing that I added just before this started happening was the MBC. I capped off one side of the Turbo, left one side of the boost sylnoid hanging and left the other side connected to the intake pipe. I ran the vacumm from the a t in the BOV vacumm line.

I dont know for sure that this could have caused this but this is the way I set this up.

I took it to the dealer and they said that a hos popped off of the EGR system and they re-attatched it. (This is similar to what others have seen with the same code.)

A couple days later this code came back. So i took it back to the dealer and they replaced a check sylnoid that was out of spec.

I am now getting the code again.

Any thoughts? Do you think the MBC or the way it is hooked up would cause this?

What does the line from the intake snorkel supposed to run to?

 

Its the vacumm hose keep poping off. It's right behind the intake manifold. Zip tie it and you will be fine .

I had that exact code the other day. I checked the vacuum line behind the throttle body, and one of them had come off. I zip tied it in place and reset the ECU and no codes, that was almost three weeks ago.

 

Do you guys think it could be anything else? I mean could any mods make the car pull that code?

I wonder if there is an EGR blockoff for our cars yet?
