Greddy Type RS bov pic installed + short video

Although nothing much different than the install of the Type S just wanted to show a pic of the Type RS installed (venting to the atmosphere temporarily).

It's a universal bov therefore you need to buy 2 parts to install this bov and to recirculate.

1. an adapter to mount to the stk ic piping (from Greddy or DejonTool.com)
2. a recirc outlet (I have yet to install one)

I installed it knowing the car may stall, but I just wanted to know what it sounded like. I used the DejonTool adapter for a Type S bov ($28).

The Type RS has a larger valve (40mm) than that of a Type S. The Type S adapter from Dejon actually works fine even though it's made for the Type S. It's only a tiny bit smaller (see pic below).

I put it back to stk until I get the recirc adapter from EvoStore.com. I ordered the 29mm recirc adapter (aka outlet adapter).

It does not sound like the Type S at all (that video game sound). It's a loud woosh. I recorded a short video of the sound while in the driveway, but it's much louder under a load.

Right click, save as:

Type RS short video

Thanks to Greg@GSC for hosting and Sleet for posting it.

Looks good. Any idle or stalling issues? Also my plug for the intake had came out and I was wondering where can I get another one?

Yes the idle surges. It's not as steady as it was prior to the bov vta. It also stalls as most 4G63s vta with the MAF. It needs to be recirculated like the Type S.

I can't wait for the video, that BOV looks very nice tho. Hopefully after I spend my money on rims i'll save up for an upgraded BOV.
