No flex section, but what truely concerns me is the O2 housing flange. It doesn't look like it would seal up that well.

I wouldn't buy it for my car.

I'm not vouching for the DP, but it looks like the O2 housing flange looks just fine as it will allow use of the stock donut washer.

Yeah, it looks like it will utilize the stock donut gasket, so there's no need for a flex section. Just like our stock downpipes.

If only these sellers actually knew anything about the EVO. "Completely Replaces the Stock Precats". We don't have precats!

personally i think this downpipe looks great. Just like helix or my rmr. Only cheap downpipe have the flex section b/c they don't weld good.

?? The stock piece doesnt have a flex section, and neither do many of the after market ones. As far as the flange, that indent is there so the stock donut gasket drops in there.

The factory DP uses a donut gasket and spring loaded bolts so that you compensate for movement, thats why it doesnt have a flex. The DP's with a flex like the megan, dont use a donut gasket they have the flat flange.

If I didn't already have one coming, I'd have ordered this one to try it out... it is definitely a clone... and not a bad one from the pictures. No one will know until they try it out.

Looks ok, and looks like it still uses the OEM donut. About the flex section with the stock turbo or a stock fitting turbo a flex section is not really needed. Even the factory exhaust does not use one.
