I think the stock pistons on the Evo6 are forged anyway.
That's what it says on the Japanese brochure.

Not sure why people want to upgrade to forged pistons from forged pistons.

It's to do with the durability and high temperature performance of the materials used. RC Developments get round this issue (upto a certain limit) by using additional oil coolers to flow more cooling oil through the hollow crown of the piston and increase the chilling affect of the spray valves mounted below.
