Just as the title says.Has anyone thrown a rod yet or even as much as spun a connecting rod bearing yet on their evo 8 yet(excluding hydro-locking engine)
Just wonder if upgraded connecting rods are really needed,or do these engines just need ARP rod bolts??These engines do need upgraded pistons,but are upgraded rods nessassary?

 

Most people that destroy motors break the pistons first. The ones that have upgraded motors, replaced the stock rods too. So I doubt you will find anyone running forged pistons on stock rods.
