Rebuild an Exedy Twin Plate, or buy a new ACT
Alright, here is my situation. I was given an exedy twin plate that is in great shape, but would need new clutch disk and to be resurfaced. That would cost about 500
The other option is to buy a brand new ACT and have my stock flywheel resurfaced which would also be about 500
What do you all think that I should do? I also dont want to upset the guy that gave it to me, because I am appreciative for him giving it to me.

...even better idea. Spend around 500 to get Exedy fixed like new, sell to me for 700, buy brand new ACT for additional 300...explain to friend you wanted single disk and to spread the love to another evo owner whose stock clutch is completely fried and been down for weeks!
haha!
haha!
haha, smokedmustang is the person that gave it to me. The exedys are like a love hate thing, I have read all of the pros and cons. I have trouble justifying putting a 500 dollar clutch in when I could use the exedy for the same price.
"SmokedMustang"- if I get into your garage I am taking more than the clutch

I really appreciate everyones responses. I am going to need to so the install in a couple of weeks. My clutch has slipped a few times on the highway. I am trying to get Mitsu to fix my synchros and replace my clutch at the same time.
