Griding??? Are you talking about resurfacing your flywheel, or grinding away to make it lighter?

I had mine resurfaced for i think 60-70 bucks. Then i put the ACT street disk, pressure plate and throw out bearing in. Whats the deal with the grinding though?

yeh, resurface, not to lighten it but really if you resurface it it'll take off a bit of material, but I wouldn't say light.

Resurfaced means, they actually grind the flywheel down a bit like rotors.

Polakvis would know better but i would say the ACT hd clutch kit can handle quite a few hard launches, you can beat on it thats for sure. Polakvis, btw im still smellin a little clutch at 500 miles on break in and its sounds like a plate is loose cause it sometimes rattles and pops some. Is this standard? Is 500 miles good break in?

If I'm not mistaken there was a big discussion on clutches. From what I have read the ACT clutch is the best bang for the buck. I mean Turbo Trix uses it on their 9 sec. evo and they have said they have never had ANY problems with it. If it can handle their 9 sec. evo then I'm sure as hell it will handle lower HP cars. I'm going to go with the ACT when my stock dies. Hopefully not for awhile I don't launch my car at all.

Perhaps the dealer wont have it resurfaced for certain reasons, but speaking from my own experience, they are easily resurfaced as long as the place doing it has a Diamond wheel, because my flywheel ruined the guys regular stone that he uses to resurface with.BTW,cost a whole $30.00 to have resurfaced
