Let's make it simple. What kind of car do you drive? Street or race? What sticker does your street car have right on the oil cap? Don't F* with that.

Philosophies may differ, and I can accept that. But sometimes you just have to realize that we are not all driving F1 cars. I just had this conversation the other day. How amusing.

It has to do with breaking in an engine with synthetic oil, and if it was a good idea, than I'm sure the racing community would embrace it, but the majority of top level professionals do not.
