Stock standard Rev limiter

At what rpm will you hit Fuel cut in an EVO that has stock ecu? I thought it was 7k, but the other day I actually got it to 8k(unintentionally) before it started to stutter. I was in 2nd chasin down a vette. I am the second owner and I have no idea what the last guy did to the car except HKS intake and Exhaust. Is there any way to tell if the ECU was flashed or changed from stock???

stock fuel cut should come in at about 7600 rpm.

if you hit the full 8k then it is most likely reflashed. Like Greg K said ~7600 is stock. On a stock Evo though there is no usefull power above 7000rpm. you are better of shifting than wringing it out....unless you are just about to the brake zone on a road course.

also what is the boost cut at? I think I have seen it as high as 23psi on pump gas when I hooked up my MBC backwards (OOPS) I thought I would have hit the fuel cut around 21psi if it was a stock ecu.

Fuel cut and rev limiter are two separate features. There are many threads on both available via the search. Thanks.
