Thumbs up Update: 369whp 378wtq still pump gas & stock turbo

Just put IhatePorsche's car on the dyno and did some quick tuning on pump gas (93 shell) with the AEM EMS and was really suprised at the numbers we were able to get.

Mods: AEM EMS (TopSpeed Tuned), 720cc injectors, HKS RS suction, HKS 264 intake and exhaust cams, 3" turbo back exhaust, ARC fmic, arp headstuds, ATS triple carbon clutch.

This is still on stock evo turbo no hotside mod, after the runs were done I backed it off to 350whp because I know how the guy drives and didn't want him to have any problems. Stay-tuned as we install a BJ's intake manifold and custom intercooler piping next week and tune it on the dyno with race gas, we are expecting over 400whp on the stock turbo.

That's very impressive...congratulations.

I have a quick question, though. How did the knock look on that run? I can't imagine the stock turbo could push that much air on pump gas and not knock at all. Also, what was the mass airflow...lb/min, g/s, whatever.

Nice run. Get the race gas in that thing.

Eric

On the last run 368hp we did see a small spike in the log nothing major around 6800rpms which is why I stoped and backed it off for safety reasons.

I like these threads that confirm you don't have to do too much for gobs of power.
Thanks.

Yes unfortunately I did work there for a few months . Worst mistake ever, oh yes was nice meeting you at the Dragon the other week.

Edit: this was done on our AWD 424x dynojet here.

Nice result!
If you add 10.5T and some good mapping, you can get 400.

It's great to see strong number while using 264 I/E cams.

You would probably be real close to 400 now with a race gas tune. My guess 390ish.

great numbers.

Great Numbers. is that about equal WHP for a 11.9 sec car?

Giovanni's car's great, its daily driver as well, rides well in daily bases, but when he lets go... man, that's something else.
