Intake before exhaust?

I am at a very low budget due to the purchase of an evo. I have a turbosmart mbs and greddy type s bov. i am saving up for intake and exhaust. my question is, should i get the intake as soon as i get 300 bucks saved up or wait till i get 1g and do a full tbe. Or instead of an intake just do an air filter with the tbe exhaust, whats the best combo?

Totally agree. Look around for some good used TBE. Vishnu likes the stock airbox anyway, if you go that route. Good luck...

I lost low end power with a intake, but thats without a tune. I had to rev it a bit more when I launch the car in 1st. Otherwise I felt no gain in performance, but can hear the bov blowing air back into the intake.

Get the exhaust first.

Get an ebay intake or a used one (Private/For sale). You can also get a custom exhaust donne for about 300 bucks. Get a muffler and go to the muffler store or use theirs. Either way, you can get both for under a grand. For a grand you should even be able to throw in some headers. Check around.

tbe is always the first to free up exhaust flow, intake can wait or just stay with a drop on.nothing wrong with buying used also since there are other people who likes to buy and try things.also usually aftermarket intake and bov dont mix well sometimes andgives you stalling problems.

happy modding read some info's first before you start buying things
