I dont know about the box but the intake is in japanese. It may seem complicated but once you start piecing it together its simple. If you dont have the instructions for the intake I can scan a copy for you if you need it.

Ok so I installed this sucker on friday night...its a little bit of a ***** to get in, but it works great once you do. I a japaneese girl at my work translate some of the important stuff in the manual to engrish. I will scan it in and do a write up later today. Also RR I have the cusco hard pipe and everything fit fine...so i am assuming that any hard pipe kit would work fine.

Here is a pic of mine. It just takes some time to figure out where the thing lines up and from there its pretty easy. I would highly recommend looking at my pics so you know where the box lines up and where its suppose to be. There is a gap and its normal but at first I thought it wasnt suppose to have one so thats why I had a tough time in the beginning trying to eliminate the gap.

I still dont' understand...

I still don't understand where it gets air from with that box surrounding it. Stock the air is shoved in via the snorkel, but since that airway is blocked off, where does the air come from now? The hot engine bay?

I have the Apexi Power intake but never bought the box. Looks good and from what I heard it actually works. Can say that about too many intake systems. I am running a K&N drop-in right now but I am holding on to the Apexi until I get some engine management.

So... it's sucking hot air from around the engine bay?

OK thanks.

I just realized that this aluminum box covers the intercooler spray reservoir. Is it easy to remove the cover? Sometimes I need to refill the reservoir quite often.
