Best Turbo for midrange power?

I was wondering what the best size turbo would be for a strong midrange with a fast spool. i am not as concerned with dyno numbers as i am with feel. i would like to take the car road racing like at VIR in virginia. just wondering what would be the best feeling turbo for this type of racing. thanks for your help!

We are still tuning my Buschur Racing BR 500 Ball-Bearing Kit, put so far I have been really impressed. We still have a lot left to tune, but David Buschur is the man. Give him a call and talk to him.

I will testing the Buschur Kit at VIR in March or April. You are more than welcome to come and check it out then if you are still undecided.

GEt the AMS kit with a GT30 turbo, can't beat this combo. AMS didn't short change with this kit, top notch.

I will have a full write up on the BR 500 BB kit within the next couple of days. We will dyno later this month. The Buschur Kit is top notch.

The 20G is going to blow the br500 out of the water.

In all honestly, the stock turbo that came with your car is going to be the best thing for you on a road course. If you have not been on a roadcourse yet, I would urge you to take the car out there in its mildest form possible until you learn more about its capabilities. I am not familiar with the track in Virginia that you are referring to but what I can tell you from experience is that the straightaways aren't nearly as long as they seem on TV. Things come up so fast and you'll have so much to learn driving wise that the last thing you'll end up caring about is how fast your car is going in a straightaway. I can promise you that you won't even have time to look at your speedo.

I've had my wife's EVO out at MidOhio a few times with just Buschur's stage 2 mods and its plenty of power for now. I had more than enough power to pass nearly every Porsche in the corners (especially once it started raining

Seat time is the best mod to getting faster. How many days have you tracked the stock car.

well in all honesty i dont have an evo yet. right now i have a turbo civic but i am ready to move on to something more fulfilling. i have been getting turned on more and more to the evo and to road racing. i love the idea of turbo all-wheel-drive and spirited driving. i am getting tired of just going in a straight line. i read on here everyday and find it much more helpful than honda-tech.com. i am still trying to figure out if the evo is for me and what the modding options are. i just want to see what it would take to have a quick spool with strong midrange the would be fast and fun on the street and at a road course. thanks for eveyones help. i love you evo guys so much more than the damn honda crowd!!
