haha.. if you don't even have an EVO yet, how do you know you're gonna need to upgrade turbos? Anyway, the stock turbo is more than sufficient for what you're asking for. The 05s should have even better midrange w/ the 10.5cm hotside.

Buy swaping out the stock 16G to a 20G wil it effect reliability? On a stock EVO. Also how much more power on a stock car with the 20G??

I now have the BR500bb turbo on the car is it is just insane how fast it is. 26lbs of boost and the car is all over the road in 1-3 gears. The car was running 11.90's before the new turbo and now it makes the 11.90 stock turbo feel slow. It makes 26lbs by 4000 or so, not much behind the stocker. Unless you are going to do ALL of the supporting mods the turbo is the very last think I would touch!

never driven one, but after being to several of the lemans races, i've learned enough to know that a stock evos gearing will benefit more from a 30r than the stock turbo.

Tho, I guess my opinion really depends on the course

I have my doubts about the benefit per dollar of the Buschur ported head considering that it's more than half the cost of a turbo kit and as much as the upcoming 20G upgrade. Since you have one can you comment on that?

11.90s on 100oct and stock turbo being fairly easy on the car, something works pretty well. I really don't think it was one part but the combo of all of them. I do know that with the new turbo this car is really fast and builds boost very quickly. I know Al from Dynoflash was pretty impressed with the car when he tuned it. Plus I wanted to do the head to have better valvetrain, o-ringed head and all the benifts of a better flowing head. So to me a lot of the benefits of the head where other then 20% more flow On the stock turbo the car built boost instantly and I think some of that was from the head. I hope Dave will be able to do the head comparison on his RS build up. Al did comment that he thought the top end of the moter was one of the quitest he has heard, maybe that is help with the knock sensors hearing less noise. Just some thoughts.
