Post Factory Fuel Pressure Test Port?

Does anyone know if the EVO 8 has a factory Fuel Pressure Test Port? I need to find it so it will pass SCCA Club racing tech.

If not, has anyone put an inline "T" in a fuel line, if so where did you put it?

Thanks,
Josh

It doesn't have a factory port. The dealer checks it with a special tool, (an adapter with a gauge basically) but Pruven performance does make an adapter with a gauge that you can use. It is a very good part for the money.

Not quite what I need but close. This is for my Evo Race car. SCCA requires a Fuel Sample Port. What it simply is is just a way for the tech inspectors to check the type of fuel in the system at any given time. I've seen several possible solutions but also heard about cars catching fire due to an improper equipment. The last thing I want to do is build something myself and end up destroying my car. Ultimately I'd like to find someone who has done this already and hasn't had any trouble.

I you add a port put it in the fuel return hose which has less pressure, minimizing any possible incidents

Sorry about the misunderstanding, I totally agree with wanting somthing very professional and safe. The evo doesn't even have a fuel drain plug that I can see of. I would think that you could buy the fitting from proven and install a pressure reilieve valve inplace of the pressure gague. You might call them and see if they could get a solution for you.

The Pruven gauge adaptor also has an additional port on it, which could be used for the relief valve while maintaining the gauge for monitoring.

Thanks for the suggestions I think I'll give pruven a call and see if they've ever done this before.

I did notice the extra port on the gauge adapter. I could definitely go that way if I had to it looks like, but I think I'd rather try to find a solution that doesn't involve the gauge and stuff.

Thanks for all the suggestions though guys.

Actually there are two drain holes, one on each side of the tank. Don't ask me why I needed to use them...

Good deal I will have to look around for them, I didn't see them mentioned in the manual but I just couldn't imagine them not being there. Thanks for sharing.

FYI.

One note about the Pruven part. You do have to bend the steel fuel return line towards the front of the car to clear their adaptor. Nobody seems to mention this.

It's not a huge bend, but I did think about it for a few minutes. I decided that since they bent the other side in constructing the pipe, that my lesser bend shouldn't affect it.

You can get the perrin fuel rail. It has an additional port on it as well. But i am not sure if it is allowed in your class.

Couldn't you run it on the return side before the FPR so all you would need is a longer hose to connect back to the fuel return line. Then nothing would need to be bent.

GTEVO...mounting configurations of the FPR and the fuel rail inlet line are different. There is much more room on the FPR side of the fuel rail though.

Actually the Inlet side and FPR return side of the fuel rail have the same size ports on them. As for config I don't know why it wouldn't work unless they have some weird azz bend to it. If it doesn't fit that sucks.
