my stock boost solenoid held boost more consistant then my hallman does. I get different readings in 5th gear then in all the others with the MBC, stock was the same for every gear.
I guess it does a good job to stop the taper effect in higher RPM though, thats were most the power comes from anyways.

I would suggest the Hallman as others have said. My friend has the Buschar one and it was having problems, plus it doesnt look so hot, it looks for lack of a better term "ghetto rigged" and the performance does not exceed its appearance.

hows your boost gauge setup?
by the way, all of you who's saying things about Buschur MBC, have you had problems with them before or is this like one of those, "my friend's friend's friend had it and it didn't work." sorta deal?
just curious.
I installed the Busher Boost Controller almost a year ago. I set it at 20.5 and it has done it's job with no issues or needing adjustments.
But, The Halman is a far nicer (looking) piece. A friend has it on his Evo, and he stands by it.
Either part, you can't go wrong.

I am surprised at some of the comments about our boost controller. "hardware store and ghetto". Hmmm. Didn't ever see a piece of billet aluminum in the hardware store. Didn't think it looked ghetto either.
Not sure which ones you guys have seen, there is a picture of ours on our website if anyone wants to go check them out.
Ours is designed the same as the Hallman as far as basic operating principle is concerned. Marc Hallman was the first to come up with design back probably 8 years ago. The ball and spring design before that did not exist as far as I know. Now everyone has them.
Hallman's is pretty, it is anodized. They work very good. I don't think they work better than ours as I have tested them side-by-side and the results are the same. I do not like the way his mount and never had. The electrical strap that he supplies....leaves a lot to be desired. In an EVO there is no clean place to mount it in the engine bay. Ours we build the mount right into the billet body. You can mount it very clean on the battery tie down bolt, my favorite place is on the bolt hole on top of the cam sensor. Fits perfectly flat to the sensor and straight with the engine. Also makes the hoses extremely short.
If you want in cockpit control from a manual controller Hallman's is the way to go and the only one out there I know of. We can get them or you can buy them through is many other vendors. The in cockpit comes with a nice mount, not the electrical strap.
Our boost control has worked well enough to put power Brent Rau's Eclipse to 7.3's, ours to 7.8's and our Conquest to 8.6's.
