What's the best replacement Clutch?

Well I just reached 15,000 miles and I believe my clutch is starting to go. I have not yet had it looked at by anyone but this is what my Evo is doing. At normal drive speed pre-boost then I hit the boost my engine revs a little and then drops and I feel it grab and the car move like its supposed.

So my question is What clutch should I invest in for the Street that will last and I can have some fun with? Also I can't find any shops around my area that do work, any recommendations would be appreciated. I live in Marlton, NJ which is about 15 minutes from Philadelphia, PA.

Thanks

^ LOL Well mine started slipping at 22K so I just ordered the ACT HD Steet Clutch. I've only heard good things about it and not bad for $485 shipped from Nolimit Motorsports.

Exclamation

Thanks for all the input. My other problem which is the harder of my 2 problems to figure out is where is there a speed shop in my area that can do the work reliably.
I live in Marlton, NJ 08034, its about 20 minutes away from Philadelphia, PA.

Any Suggestions???????????????

The best bang for the buck is the ACT. Others that I have seen are very expensive. ACT clutch is approx. 5-600.00. The others are upwards of 15-1600.00. Try the ACT lightened flywheel while your at it.

Post a thread on the regional forum in the northeast location asking where to find a shop that installs clutches in your area. I'm sure there are Evo owners around Phily and your area that know where you could get thta installed. Good luck!

i agree here however since that area is weakest in our cars, i would get the most solidly built you $ can buy (Exedy, ATS, OS Giken) that way it lasts longer, feels just like stock & will handle abuse.

TurboTrix, they are located in NJ. I have heard nothing but good things about their shop, although no personal experience dealing with them. I believe their website is www.turbotrix.com

I've had this clutch for about 14k miles, with hundreds of hard launches, and it grabs like the day it was installed.
