Japanese ECU Install

I just bought a Japanses ECU from HKS Kansai Service, this ECU has 3 plug in connections, but I know that my Lancer Evolution in the US has 4 plug in connections. Does anyone know if a sub harness will work with this application? I really need to know this becasue I have not installed the ECU yet. Or does anyone know where I can get one for this ECU.

Bad idea. The Japanese ECU is setup for different octane gas, etc. compared to the US ECU. It may cause you problems and the gains are minimal at best.

I have located a sub harness that will connect to the ECU, I did specify to the guys that it will be going on a US Spec Evolution. The chip with all of the other MODS should put me at 350 HP, all Kansai Service HKS.

I'm still in Japan, I just might have to take it back and get my money back. At least I still have all of the other stuff. I just don't have a good feeling that it will work on my car.

i would love to see how long it would take them to reply to you if u get into any problem? HKS are good dont give me wrong, but u have so many good ecu tuners here in the states just a phone call away that could have helped u.
Do us a favor before u install your NEW ecu, get your car on a dyno, stock and then with new ecu. then tell us if it was worth the money u spent on that ecu

yeh just return it, you wont regret going with either vishnu or dynoflash to retune your stock ecu, heard very good things from both tuners. Personaly i am going with vishnu xflash.

What kind of HP can you achieve with the vishnu xflash? I'm still going to have all of my piping: front pipe, exhaust system, intercooler piping, spark plugs, thermostat. Of course you probably have to send in the stock ECU for flash.
