my evo MR is still stock, and i just got it a week ago. before doing any mods to it (which i plan to get a TBE, BOV, and turbo timer), i want to make sure how the backfire (popping sound) works. yes, ive heard it on a STI before on the road and it sounds sweet.

right now, im planning to get a buschur TBE, greddy-s BOV, and a turbo timer (still choosing which turbo timer looks great). let me know guys. thanks!

Sounds kinda ricey if you're trying to get your car to backfire lol.. usually it's just the opposite

 

you dont want the car to backfire if you cant help it
its means your running rich(less power)
and if the police see those fireballs coming out the exhaust they know youre running a test pipe=pulled over

 

mine backfires on the decel.. i have the autronic shut the inj. off on decel. and its loud..

So far no trouble from the cops for me...knock on wood. My car is basically a flame thrower right now! I was having some fun the other night, and right when I was about to shift from 4th to 5th my passengers side mirror lit up with flames! Scared the **** out of my friend in the passengers seat!
