leak

leak

ok got home and noticed my car is leaking fluid(oil). cold and dark so i did not crawl under the car. here is what i know. leak is on the passenger side front of the car. to paint a pic i belive if you look at the location of the power steering tank is, directly underneath that towards the bottom of the bay is where it is coming from...can anyone help me.?

It can be quite a few things. Oil (if it is oil) will leak out and run to different parts of the engine making it hard to tell where its coming from. I would do more investigating and post more info.

That is the side the oil filter and drain bolt are located. If someone else does your oil changes (jiffy lube or even Mitsu) there is a good chance the tech didn't properly tighten the filter or bolt, or did not use a new crush washer. I have seen this quite a few times too (not necessarily on an evo).

If it is at the very front on the passenger side, that is the location of the oil cooler. Have you run over anything (even crusted up snow humps) that could have damaged the oil cooler or lines?

thanks for the replies guys, i do not drive it in the snow so i can rule that out, i am sorta leaning towards an improper tightening of filter, bolt or washer cuz this leak did not occur until after the last time it got serviced...
