Pics of Injen Exhaust (56kers beware!)

Ok, I FINALLY got around to taking some pics...it snowed here so it's not as shiney as it is after it's clean (salt makes things dirty ) Anyway...here ya go for anyone who cares...oh, and they're not that great of pics either, from under the car in the garage, not up on a lift or anything...but they'll do...oh, and there's A LOT of them (ok, just 12...but still)

Nice looking exhaust. This and the Greddy Evo2 look very much alike. Thanks for the pics.

I have the same exhaust with a 3" downpipe and it is very nice, but I was not real pleased with the sound and the look of the canister. It was a little quiet for an aftermarket exhaust. I had an hks carbon/titanium canister and I ended up cutting the injen canister off and welding on the hks ca/ti can. It gave the exhaust the exact note that I wanted. It growls nice at wot but is not loud enough to be getting tickets all the time like my old car. I also have the injen fmic and it's really nice too. Not to mention you can get the front mount from gscmotorsports.com for 700.00 shipped, it's listed at 880 or something on the website but if you call them they will do it cheaper for forum members.

Not the straightest exhaust, but looks like good craftsmanship. It came with the bung for the 02 sensor? Thats pretty sweet.

no, that o2 bung had to be welded on, and yeah, it's not very loud for an aftermarket exhaust...and I have the dp too, u just can't see it very well

At low rpms and low amounts of throttle it's either fairly quiet like stock with a bit of a deeper growl, or a hollowy noise sometimes with a bit of backfire due to the lack of tune and the catdelete...and then at WOT it screams, it's not super loud, but it's definitly a whole lot louder than stock, loud enough that if you're in a car being passed or behind you can hear it (my friend was driving with me in his WRX the other day). The pitch is kind of a middle range pitch not honda screachy loud but not deep Mustang/STi noise...I really like the sound of it...it's kind of like the HKS Hi-Power noise but not quite, that's the closest I can think of, and it made the spool up of the turbo a bit louder too which is always fun of course Oh, and at idle it's probably .0001 db louder than stock and that slightly different pitch...as soon as I get a chance and figure out how to host a video...or get a way to record a sound clip...I'll post that too

I LOVE this exhaust. I have the full 3" cat back, test pipe, and downpipe. I love how quiet it is during normal driving, just a little deeper than normal but that's about it. But up past 4K rpm it really screams, sort of like a F1 sound. And I have so much more top end power now it's really fun. I'm so happy with it, and for $800 for all the pieces it's a really good deal. Also, I don't know what version you got, but mine came with an extended O2 sensor bung, so no welding and no CEL!

What's with the really long tube that the o2 sensor threads into?? Is the probe really long or something? I don't get it...

Much like using the anti-fouler method, it just moves the O2 sensor from the exhaust path so it doesn't read too much air and causing a CEL. I think Helix, UR and some others have them on their midpipes to "guarantee" no cels.

Local shop called Speed Concept in Aloha, Oregon. $550 for the exhaust + test pipe, $250 for the downpipe.

Jeez, this picked up... Sorry, I meant the Wideband o2 sensor bung thing is extra (right in the middle of the 4th picture up from the bottom, the regular o2 bung is off to the right a little)... the thing that the stock o2 sensor is in was on the exhaust already... and yes, it works like an anti-cel system... no cel (from the o2 sensor at least) for over 5k miles.

It is pretty slow John But at least it's an Evo and not a 350z wanting to be an Evo someday!
